Wagamama Overview

The famous and frankly pretty cool Wagamamas brand has found itself in the equally cool town centre of Nicosia. Wagamama’s restaurants are a particular favourite of mine and I don’t have a bad word to say about them. If you have never been to one then you must go because to eat there is to fall in love with the place.
The restaurant is spacious, seating over 140 and looks clean and modern with wooden tables and floors. The menu is predominantly made of noodle dishes and they don’t do starters but have a selection of side dishes that accompany your mains. I’m raving about it and I don’t even enjoy noodles that much, I always have the Chicken Katsu curry which is deep fried chicken in curry sauce, rice and fresh salad (you can have a vegetarian version of this dish which is equally delicious).
Sides including Chicken Yakaturi, home-made sweet potato chips, dumplings, fresh salads are all delicious and no doubt you will get greedy and over order which happens to me each time we go there resulting in me never having tried one of their desserts. So the chocolate cake with dark chocolate wasabi sauce and vanilla pod ice cream remains to be tasted – what a travesty!!
Positive Eating and Positive Living to you all! (that’s the Wagamama’s motto in case you didn´t know).
Opening Times:
mon-sat: 12pm-11pm
sun: 12pm-10pm

Good food but service below average

    Haris Zachariades from Nicosia

I visited two times. Both times I found the food interesting, with fresh ingredients. However, the service was indifferent. Cypriots expect to feel welcomed in a restaurant, but both times we were served by the same, rather indifferent, sad and tired-looking waitress. Greek is not spoken here and you may also have some difficulty with English. Fortunately, the items on the menu have numbers next to them, simplifying communication. A big plus and a reason for which I will return to this restaurant is the non-smoking enviroment, which is rather difficult to come by elsewhere in Cyprus.

    I Loved Wagamama

    Soulla Andreou from Larnaca

i especially love the seating arrangements, the warmth of the wooden benches, yet modern with a fresh touch! the food is very fresh and quite affordable for any age. i loved the grilled asparagus, ebi gyoza and the freshly squeezed orange juice.
